Examples of Projects Undertaken ![]() A FEW EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN Client confidientiality is paramount to Les Oman Associates and so you will understand that it is not possible to provide examples of most of my work. However the following projects were fairly high profile and remainin the public domain. The links will either take you directly to my work or will alternatively provide you with some contextual background information. CAKE Trust - Team leader and co-author of Report for major Coastal Zone Management Project. Follow the link and download the report from the Firth of Clyde Forum website. (Scroll down page and look for Coastal Zone Management) Lady Linda McCartney Memorial Garden - Information Panels and text input to associated web site Saddell Abbey Conservation Project - Community liaison, music coordinator and author of sleeve notes for Jewels of Kintyre CD. Argyll and the Islands Enterprise Company (Local Economic Development Company now known as HIE Argyll and the Islands)- various projects/reports including area profiles for previous web site (some elements remain) Argyll and the Islands Local Economic Forum - Mapping Exercise and initial draft of Action Plan Seafood Scotland - Code of Practice Coordinator for Scottish Fish Markets (Aberdeen, Peterhead & Fraserburgh). This role was for the old version of Seafood Scotland aka The Scottish Seafood Project which ran as part of the PESCA programme. The new organisation was constituted on a permanent basis to fill the gap left when the PESCA programme finished. In addition, I have provided representation and secretariat services to Loch Fyne Marine Trust, Live Shellfish Traders (Scotland) Ltd (see under consultees), Kintyre Road Users Group and I have undertaken the role of Chairman (unpaid) of Dalrida Business Action Group who are campaigning for a ferry link between Argyll and Northern Ireland. I have also been or am involved, on a voluntary basis, with a a number of community-based organisations and events such as MOK Fest, Tarbert Music Festival, Opportunity Kintyre, Campbeltown Sewerage Task Force and local radio station Argyll FM where I was a volunteer presenter for seven years until recently. |
